CCID is an international consortium of community colleges that is interested in international development opportunities for its member colleges. Kirkwood serves as a board member college. CCID's main offices are located at Lone Star Community College.
CCID offers professional development opportunities and access to international education professionals from a vast array of membership institutions.
Kirkwood is one of four members of GEN, a unique international consortium of technical colleges in Singapore, Australia, Canada, and the United States. Member institutions include:
GEN member colleges plan student exchange and faculty exchange activities for their colleges throughout the year and look for continued opportunities to benefit from each other's expertise and international outlooks.

If you have any questions about pursuing a Fulbright opportunity or hosting a visiting Fulbright scholar, questions can be directed to Kirkwood's Fulbright representative, Dawn Wood.
The Fulbright Scholar Program, which provides international scholarships, is administered by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Its goal is to help increase mutual understanding, and support friendly and peaceful relations between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
