About These Scholarships
Merit-based scholarships like the Presidential and Leaders for Tomorrow scholarships are awarded to students just like you who demonstrate certain qualities and/or criteria.
A few of the factors we consider:
- Grade point average (GPA)
- Class rank
- Volunteer work outside the classroom
- Leadership, community, and extracurricular activity involvement
- Being a productive member of society – well rounded, well informed, good moral character, respectful of self and others
- Written goals statement (essay)
The Presidential Scholarship awards $5,500 and is available to first-time high school seniors.
Students must meet the established criteria and be enrolled full-time at Kirkwood in the fall and spring following their high school graduation.
The Leaders For Tomorrow Scholarship awards $3,500 and is available to first-time high school seniors.
Students must meet the established criteria and be enrolled full-time at Kirkwood in the fall following their high school graduation.
To be eligible, students must demonstrate strong leadership qualities. At least one community and two high school leadership experiences are required during the junior and senior years of high school.
2024 Scholarship Celebration Dinner
The 2024 Scholarship Celebration Dinner was a memorable evening honoring Kirkwood’s outstanding scholarship recipients. Hosted at President Kristie Fisher’s home, the event provided a unique opportunity for students to connect with President Fisher and celebrate their achievements in a casual, outdoor setting.
