The Construction Management program is a two-year A.A.S. program and provides entry-level skills and knowledge for students who want to pursue one of the many careers available in the construction industry.
Classes during the first year emphasize hands-on laboratory experiences in construction skills, architectural drafting and CAD, estimating, and microcomputer applications.
The summer session allows students to gain experience during a full-time, paid internship in the construction field.
Second-year classes emphasize skills and knowledge development in management, scheduling, estimating, and legal issues.
Kirkwood is the affordable option! We offer more than $3 million in scholarships every year.
Students in this program may be eligible to have half their tuition paid for by the Kibbie Grant.
Graduates of the Construction Management program will be able to:
Prior to acceptance into the Construction Management program, a short online presentation called a Program Conference is required of all students. This presentation will introduce you to your instructors and talk about specific requirements, classes, the job outlook, and moving on to a 4-year school, if desired.
